For continuity, each of the stockings had the same color background; this makes, I think the paintings stand out.  All stockings have a lush, C&C Milano red velvet back and are lined in different silk patterns that coordinate with the paintings in their own way.  But the remainder of the details are different.  I found the most delectable trims at a shop in London.  And they really worked on these stockings.  The hockey playing snowman “Star Man” as he is named, has a white deerskin cuff with gold and silver stars attached.  The Nutcracker has a red velvet cuff with an actual metal sword sewn onto the side of his pants.  So FUN.

And for the first time ever in my life, I purchased rhinestones.  I have glued them onto the crown and skirt of the fairy for Portia’s stocking, who’s cuff is white rabbit fur.  It is so dreamy. Her husband’s stocking is the “Texas Santa”.  His cuff is brown suede and green waxed linen with a fabulous trim. There are little silver and gold bells sewn around the bottom of the parents’ stockings. So, every one has a touch and feel effect. But the jewels really made them all have a “Wow” factor.  

And Christmas is a Wow time of year.  Is it not?
